I got a sewing machine on Black Friday for my Christmas gift. I was at a friends house and loved the Christmas stockings she made, so she helped me get started on some for my kids. So, I made these very cute stockings. Check out the details, the hand sewn piping as an accent. Wow. Only those who have known me since I was little can fully appreciate the magnitude of this moment. Who would have thought that little blond tomboy with all the muscles could produce such a product, ha ha? They are so cozy, lined with fleece. Seriously, I'm pretty amazed. Just don't look too closely:) I was going to make more than three, but I think I exhausted every creative crafty bone I have in my body. I told Bill, I think we're only having three kids, because I'm done making stockings. I'm sure I'll recover in a few years. I did actually really enjoy myself. What's next for my sewing creations? For now, I think I'll stick with suturing skin at work.

Very impressive Alicia!!! Way to go. I've been wanting to make stockigs for years, but I'm too afraid. Someday I'll get around to it. Someday...
Ok, now I just read THIS post and I'm even more convinced that you are taking over for Martha Stewart. I'm starting to get a complex. Very impressive...those are sooo cute. Your talents are endless, Alicia.
